In February 1990, the City of Dos Palos formed a Joint Powers Authority (JPA), “Wastewater Disposal Joint Powers Agency for the Dos Palos Area”, providing sewer collection and wastewater treatment services for the City of Dos Palos, Midway Community Services District, and South Dos Palos County Water District.
The existing sewer system is comprised of varying diameter sewer lines and seven lift stations that help convey the wastewater to the wastewater treatment facility for processing. This facility is located on the west side of Swift Road on a 39 acre parcel within the City limits, but discontiquous from the City limits approximately one mile to the west.
